Continuous Futures Chart

Can one have a chart of a future as a continuous future?

I'm using IB as the data source and it doesn't seem to show any continuous futures as being available.

Hi,

MotiveWave does provide backfill for many commonly used futures contracts. A full list can be found here:

If you pull up the current contract, you should see the backfill on the charts provided that you have it enabled for that symbol. You can double check this by right clicking on the chart and then selecting Edit Instrument. From there, select the Advanced tab and ensure that the Back Fill Enabled option is selected.

You can also set the Roll Method and Back Adjust Method via the Data tab found to the left of the Advanced tab mentioned above.
