What's the future for Motivewave?

So, like others I have been waiting for Schwab integration. When I started using this platform years ago I used it with OANDA for forex and TDA for stocks. Now both of them have lost integration and I only use motivewave with google yahoo data for stocks.
Schwab now works for me, both with stocks and futures quotes.

I could care less about a mobile app. Desktop users should come first, if they become restless about support then they will start looking for other platforms. Traders are not going to put their trading accounts at risk waiting for support. They want a solid working platform, they have enough to worry about.

Have you seen this?

No, but I read the comment by Saturn33 that schwab works for him and responded with a like. He said futures data worked for him as well. I don’t recall TD having futures data available to motivewave. I wonder when orders will be available?

so I guess the iOS app never was released?

Are you asking about the MW iOS App?

I am at a point where I kinda wish I had gone with another platform.
I chose MW because I run a MAC and it worked very well... Still does actually but the lace of development is frustrating.
I wish there was a tool that allowed one to take studies and strategies from other platforms and be able to convert them to MW for use.
I don't know that kind of presence MW has in the professional community but it seems like it is no where near their companions presence.
I hope MW sticks around because I would be rather upset if they closed shop and I can no longer use a platform that I paid good money for.

when I compare platforms I think in terms of the feature set and my trading style. As a user of motivewave for several years now. I really like the volume tools, the ability to add an indicator to another indicator is very useful as well. I like having a choice of brokers and data providers to use. I also like being able to use MW in pretty much any computing environment I want, linux, OSX or windows. The reason MW can do this is because it was built using Java. However if you want to write a custom indicator for MW, Java is a barrier for many hobby programmers. I think the auto EW is great in MW. I also like being able to execute orders on an indicator alert. The closest platform to motivewave is ninja. I have used both but prefer motivewave. Every trading platform I have used has things I like and things I dislike. I have yet to find the perfect all in one trading platform. As far as the future of MW? If you peruse through this forum you can see that there are feature requests and bugs. The obvious goals of adding new features and fixing bugs should be top priorities.

That is interesting. To me, it seems that it usually gives counts that do not always satisfy the EW rules. Yet, it is interesting that it does seem to sometimes change its count(s) when going from one time frame to other time frames. So perhaps using that more carefully, maybe I can make better sense out of some of the wave counts presented. Whether right or wrong of me, I have generally thought that auto EW in MW does a better job (even when a little "goofy") than what the Advanced GET program did with their EW counts (which I think were only based on momentum parameters, and not true EW rules).

So, I am not an expert at EW. I use the EW drag tool and look at each leg of a wave to check my count. I use it mostly as test for an impulse or a correction. It’s really just helping me understand the structure of the chart.
