Hi,

I’m a naked chart trader, but In my prep work I heavily rely on TPO study. I’m glad to see a split feature added in Beta 2. OHLC study is cool too. Couple of years ago I coded my own to do the same. Nice to see the MW team pays attention to day traders needs.

Cheers.

Thanks Igor,

I am sure we will be adding more enhancements in the future. We are always looking for suggestions.
Source code is also available for the TPO study as well as Volume Imprint for anyone who wants to make their own proprietary enhancements.

I use TPO with Volume Imprint,
for many Scripts i could not see the Historic TPOs and Imprint,
I use Truedata data feed who provide past Tick data at end of week , i cannot see any option to load that historic tick data in MW , i have MW chart plus edition.

Cheers

Hi Nitin,

Can you email support@motivewave.com with this issue? With version 6 beta 2 you should be able to use minute bars in the TPO study.

Thank you.

I use Renko bars to trade the YM and ES.... My methodology works pretty well for me.

Same here. My main instrument is NQ. Renko swings work well for NQ and catching them is rewarding. On my charts I use classic Renko to see the patterns and NT Renko for entries.

I use two different Renko settings to trade with...
1 tick and 4 tick brick for the ES, and 1 point and 10 point bricks for YM.
Do you have any trouble with the Renko bricks formation? I get a different pattern fairly often after clearing local data.
I have talked with Joe and we have done screen shares on this but it still happens...... A strange anomaly at the very least ... I have also talked with IB but nobody seems to have any good answers.

Renko is sensitive to the feed since it builds the bricks from tick data. The issue with the inconsistent pattern formation is not specific to MW only. I did a bit of a research on that topic trying to get to the bottom of the issue. It is recommended to have a daily restart to improve the consistency. Consider to make improvements to your trading strategy where you emphasize intrinsic value of the Renko rather their pattern formations. A slight variation of a brick size specific for the current trade session, aka model fitting, helps as well.

I restart at each new session. and then switch to tick data.
Let run for a while before I start the trading session.
I also hit the clear local data frequently to restore the bricks.

I trade NQ exclusively on Linear charts using a variation of Wyckoff's Trading Method called "Logical Price Action."

MW features I use? A few beautiful custom Studies from @dsinnig of Trading Indicators, Volume, Horizontal Lines, Labeled Lines, Support/Resistance Zones, OHLC, Channels, Lines, Guides, VWAP... pretty simple and clean.

I ❤ the Floating Window feature!!!
