What is happening when a chart darkens and the progress bar pops up?

What is happening when a chart darkens and the progress bar pops up? This is on a 256tick chart. Is there any way to diagnose whether this is a data feed issue or a local (computer) issue? Are stats available in Motivewave to show how a data feed is performing?

bump... This still happens a lot. Is there anything in Motivewave that can help?

I'm aware it is likely the data feed, but is is it possible to just make Motivewave less sensitive to feed issues? The chart is unusable when this happens.

This is your MW either doing calculations on past bars or loading new data.

I don't think I can spot a Study in your screenshot, so it's probably loading data.
Perhaps your broker or datafeed is sloooooooooooooow ?

I noticed that changing chart TF to anything else and back to current TF sometimes helps
