Hi MW users,

Has anyone watched and obviously payed for Todd Gordon''s MW tutorial? Is it worth the money?

Bearing in mind I'm mostly FX, commodities and Indices trader rather than stocks like him but he might have really good set ups for the software.

Thank you.

watch his free webinars in YouTube and judge yourself. I watched a few of them and i am not paying even a dollar for them. His purpose is not teaching you but selling something to you.

I paid for it and found:
- he's teaching his setup for MotiveWave that he uses, not really teaching anything about Elliot Wave.
- people had asked questions years ago he hadn't responded to
- it did help me get up to speed a bit faster in MotiveWave seeing someone else fly around the program, but not sure that was worth it.

Are you trying to learn Elliot Wave or Elliot Wave within MotiveWave.

I'm considering some of these

Hey,

Thanks for your feedback.

No I wasn't looking at watching his video to learn EW, even if you can never stop learning EW in my mind, but was more to see what tips he could share that could benefit me with MotiveWave. See if I can make the software work even better for me. That's all.

Cheers

I've watched some as well as many other videos even with Elliot Wave International and I always get that vibe he's really good and all but he keeps all his tricks for himself. I get it, but don't try to sell me your products every time. I think he's a good trader and business man, no doubt. But sometimes his video feel like he wants to lure you in to then sell you his product. Fair play.

Cheers

To address some of the comments here, some of the free videos on youtube that you would see from Todd are, of course, going to have a sales-y feel as those videos are intended to promote his services (everyone's got to make a living :) ). He does also do free public weekly market updates as well: https://tradinganalysis.com/market-updates/

Regarding Todd's MotiveWave course, as @nobaddays mentioned, the course shows how Todd himself specifically sets up MotiveWave for his use and style of analysis and trading. This will be beneficial if you want to see an example of how Todd uses MotiveWave day-to-day using Elliott Wave and some of his shortcuts and tricks, and is also beneficial if you are subscribed to any of his services.

If you are looking purely for tutorials on how to use MotiveWave (with or without Elliott Wave) and the various setups and preferences that you can set, you can also look at MotiveWave's tutorial videos on our website or on our MotiveWave YouTube Channel. All of our content is being updated to Version 6 and more videos are being added every week.

IMHO, he only focuses on EW feature in MW while MW has many many other good features. I love MW but I don't use EW at all. IMHO, EW is very difficult to learn and many people use it incorrectly. Harmonics patterns are much easier to learn and MW also has very convenient tool for it. Anyway, he needs Thinkorswim in addition to MW, because he is an Options trader and no one can beat TOS's Options analysis feature. He uses MW only because of EW tool in MW. Analysis and executions are done through TOS. If you're not an EW trader, no reason to buy his services.
