On my scan screen, how do I get the time frame I want to stay and not revert back to a previous time every time I change the instrument. ?

Also, pre market, my SPY QQQ charts are scrolling automatically, how do I stop that ?

Thx

HI Redeye,

Can you give me a step by step example of your time frame reverting? I created a scan for a stock and then edited the scan to select a different instrument and the time frame did not change.

If you double-click your chart to bring up the Chart Settings and go to the Scaling tab if you have Price Range as the Scale Type then you will need to disable Tick From Edge, this will stop your chart from scrolling. Is this what you mean?

Thank you.

The scrolling stops when the market opens, no other symbols do that. I just thought it was kinda strange,

On my scan page I have the scanning stuff on the top half and then a chart window on the bottom half. when i originally opened the chart window I had the time frame at 3 min. So if i want to use a different time frame, like 1 day, I click on that and it gives me that time frame for that symbol. But when I change symbols, the time frame goes back to 3 min. So if I want to see some symbols on a 1 day time frame, I have to click on the 1 day to bring it up again each change of symbol. I tried adding another chart window, what you call primary analysis, set that one for 1 day. It works on the first symbol but reverts back to 3 min time frame on the next symbol.

If you could email us at support@motivewave.com a quick screen recording of the automatic scrolling, we could take a look and let you know if it is expected behavior.

When you have a scan results page and a chart linked below it will automatically return the chart in whatever bar size you had used for the scan, so when you change the bar size and then go back to the symbol it's just returning the results again. We could add a feature request if you would like to keep the bar size if it's been changed?

I have no idea how to do a screen recording, but....I took this screenshot this morning of what my SPY chart looks like this morning. I use two monitors and the screen shot captured both of them. The one on the right is my SPY chart. I entered QQQ and it looked right, went back to SPY and that's what i have. Just FYI, I didn't have this problem before the latest update.
Thx

It looks to me like your scaling is way off. Can you double-click your chart background to bring up the Chart Settings, now can you go to the Scaling tab and change the Scale Type to Auto Scale and make sure your top and bottom inset numbers aren't large, try 50 each to start.

Let me know if that fixes the issue.
