I created a new workspace, selected IQFeed, pressed the yellow Free Demo Account button (while leaving Username blank). Immediate crash.
This is very reproducible. It happened 3 times in row, every time.

Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever trade on MAC ever. No mac sortware in the industry is stable. None. They all crash.
Ask yourself why banks and other institution don't use mac to manage money. get yourself a PC instal motivewave window and bingo. Now you have at least a chance.

LOL. I've worked in the industry and you are clueless. Banks run unix variants for anything mission critical; the hedge funds I worked for used Macs and Linux because Windows is a joke wrapped around a virus.

This is simply a bug report to help MotiveWave improve a small part of their already excellent on Mac software.

Well, you may do whatever you want. Just saying that retail world will never get something reliable on Mac. If you compare Mac trading platform versus Windows platform while trading in a live or paper account you will sure enough realize how MAc one's are unstable. Using UNIX globally and using a MACBOOK PRO as a retail trader or an IMac is a complete different ball game. All I am saying is, retail trading from a MAC machine is riskier and unstable. Anybody who use Mac alone without trying a PC don't realize what they are going through until they use a PC. Mac trading program crashing daily while into a session is frequent. It never happen on a good PC. Whatever the trading software. Ask any Mac trading Trader how many time their MAC crash during a session. This crash report of yours would had never happened on a PC. Anything related to IQFeed on mac will bring problems. You are dealing with problems on Mac machine that simply won't exist on PC. I own 5 Mac. They are not made to trade money. By the way, they use Linux because it's free. Lastly, If MotiveWave has a stable mac version, good for them. I won't try though. I am use to Windows trading software now now...
