MW keeps crashing on open on IMac

I have been using MW for most of the year on a late 2014 iMac running MAC OS Sierra 10.12.6 and

Macbook Pro 2018 running OS Catalina 10.15.7

Starting the previous evening MW keeps crashing on opening on the IMAC but opens fine on the MacBook. I just re-downloaded MW from motivewave.com and attempted to open and it continues to crash.

Need help ASAP

Update - now MW will not open on my MacBook

I keep getting a message stating that another version of MW is open in another location and my license key cannot be verified. I double checked the IMac to make sure there is no MW open which I can’t open as you see in my previous message. I even tried with the iMac shutdown.

both errors see to have occurred after my most recent updates

I had all kinds of problems with my Mac over the months. I dumped it for Linux which works fine for many months. There might be conflicts with the JVM environment which does not play nice with Mac.
