FXCM connection is established but quotes are not downloaded

No, and having a hard time convincing them to either debug or share the Error report towards FXCM. Sometimes "clear local database" helps, but recently it has gone from bad to worse. I have FXCM Metatrader 4 running in parallel and there it ticks like a Swiss Clock.

FXCM also connects flawlessly to tradingview so Im not convinced the problem is on FXCMs side.

I just finished an excellent technical conversation w/ FXCM API support. We verified that quotations <1day time frames are completely visible and available through the FXCM API, while MW had at the same time a gap between June 30 at 01:00h (local) and 15:00h.

so MW is the troublemaker?

looks like! I use MW since V.5 and I must say that their SW quality has gone from bad to worse. I reverted back from ß7 to V.6, because I consider ß7 as unusable for Elliott Wave charting.
I find it significant that they did not find it necessary to make any statement here in their own forum.
Support is by and large very unprofessional; no ticket numbers, no fault/known issues lists, and only non-binding bla bla statements, if any. I have very little hope that they will/can solve this issue. Apparently they have not many FXCM customers and they don't care!
According to my own debugging, MW and the FXCM Trading Station (& I guess Trading View as well) are connecting to the same server ..\\fxcorporate.com and in Trading Station ALL quotes are there. There is also a clear indication that the fault is with MW, because all usually known debug platforms as StackOverflow, Reddit or FXCM's own API forum do not show any complaints.
They try to convince you, to buy a paid data service for 100++$/year. Honi soit, qui mal y pense ....
