Currently individual footprint histograms are scaled independently. There is no way to tell if a bump (in terms of volume traded) in the individuals histogram is actually big or not compared to the other footprints. It would be good to introduce a parameter to be able to have a common scaling for the histograms, either global, or for alll the footprint histograms currently on screen. Sierra Chart, Ninjatrader plugins and ATAS all have this functionality.

This here shows the difference between separate scaling (top) and global scaling (bottom) for footprint histograms. I should maybe mention that ATAS has a fractional scaling factor, which you can for example set to 50%. That would mean that everything that exceeds 50% of the biggest histogram bar will end up using the full width. This prevents that one big bar will completely dominate and many become completely squeezed. The coloring also adapts with the scaling of course. There are different schemes preventing this effect that one big bar dominates too much. For example, and absolute number could be set.
