Hello,
This is the feature already available in JForex. Once I placed a limit order I can visually setup/adjust SL/PT orders of this limit order by dragging its line. Yes, we have bracket order preset option in MW but when I want to place SL/TP orders of a limit order around major swing points in the chart, visual option should be more convenient. When bracket order preset and this visual setup conflict each other, I think visual setup should have a precedence. If it makes sense to you please consider this feature in the future.
Thanks,

Hello,

You are able to click and drag stop and limit orders that are attached once the orders are submitted. The stop and limit orders won't display until the order is submitted though.

I think Order Presets menu is what I wanted. It works nice and as expected. Thanks! :)👍

I have another question. I think Order Presets menu should contain Break Even option. I want to protect my position using Break Even rather than Trailing Stop after the order's submitted to the exchange. Am I supposed to apply a separate Exit Strategy (which includes Break Even setting) on top of the Order Presets to do so?

It looks Exit Strategy only works for Market orders or orders already open. It doesn't work for Limit Order:

Doesn't Order Presets and Exit Strategy conflict each other once the limit order's submitted to the exchange? A bit confusing........

Let me put it in simpler way: I use both market order and limit order. In either cases, I want to set my profit target to 50 ticks and stop loss to 50 ticks. When price moves 25 ticks in my favor, I want to move stop loss to break even + 1 tick (to cover commission). I don't use Trail stop. What should I do?

Hello,

In your example above you would want the Exit Strategy to look like this:

69

The Trade Panel attaches an Exit Strategy from the Position tab but not on the Order tab, so yes unless you created a custom button you can't really set a limit order well below the market to buy and have a strategy attached. We will add the Exit Strategy drop down on the Order tab in the Trade Panel in a future release.

You have a couple options for the time being:

In the trade panel you can use the attach button (paper clip icon) to attach an exit strategy to an open position.

You can use the DOM to enter a limit order with a strategy attached.

Thank you.

Thank you for details. I will try what you suggested. Btw, in 6.0B3E, I don't see Break Even button was updated with offset feature which I requested before. When you find some free time please have a look at this issue. :)

Hello,

To edit the button to add +1 tick please go into your Trade Panel or DOM Preferences (whichever you use for order entry). If you go to the Panels tab and edit the Position option now edit the Grid Pane with all the order buttons and finally select and edit the Breakeven button to add a tick, now select OK on all menus. If you want you can also create a new Breakeven+1 button and leave the regular button as is, it's up to you.
