So happy we now have a forum to communicate with others who use a great piece of software, not to mention the additional Google links that will attract potential buyers.

I think we need a few additional forum categories, I know its too early to know exactly what ones will be needed, but a few come to mind that will certainly help keep us organized.

Separate categories for;

OS
Mac
Windows

SDK
Studies
Strategies
Third Party Libraries

Rather than dumping all user contributed Strategies and Studies into one forum, would be better to have them separate.

Just makes it easier to provide help and searching.

Thanks for providing us Mac users a very powerful charting/trading application.

I couldn't agree more, I'm also a Mac user and this is phenomenal.

Could also have:

- Tips
- Could differentiate also with Stocks traders, FX/Comms traders and even extend this to Options etc.

I agree is also early for this but really loving this page. Well done MW.

Thank you Nudge. How would you see the OS category work or what types of things would you post in it? Trying to figure out how to make that work without almost splitting the forum completely into 2 and having all the same forum categories recreated under each. A lot of questions/content wouldn't matter if it was Mac or Windows so there would be a lot of duplicated content, or if we have a Mac category, then it might be content that could go in one of our existing categories... Just trying to figure out the use case better so that I know where to put it. :)

Thank you Nicko. For Tips, are you looking for a section where other MW users are providing tips, or are you looking for a section where MW is providing tips? Or both? :)

Honestly, I have no idea Leigh :) I just figured even though it is Java based and it runs the same code on both OS's, there maybe some kinda issues that is specific to the OS based on implementation of the JVM and MW. I see your point tho. I've never had an OS specific issue, so it was probably not a constructive suggestion. Maybe a post Tag system would be better suited?

Cheers,
Charlie

Other than the way the application is installed, how the top menus look, and some keyboard shortcuts/controls, there isn't really a difference between the Mac and Windows versions. I'll watch to see if anything starts popping up specifically for Mac on the forum and we'll go from there.

I’m on OS X 60% of the time and I don’t think it’s something that needs special topics since Java is Universal.

If someone wants a Mac specific question, I think he can easily start the topic name with the OSX acronym, so as not to clutter the forum with too many branches that might overlap

Thanks, hope that helps
